When the owner of this 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 walked into our Dubai workshop, the goal was clear: transform a classic W463 cabin into the latest W464 interior — without compromise. At Weiss Auto Concept, this is one of the most demanding interior conversions we perform, and every detail had to look and feel factory-made. This is how we did it.
The Vehicle: 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 (W463)
The W463 generation defined the G-Class for decades — rugged, iconic, and unmistakable. But by 2014, its cabin technology and design were already a generation behind. Our client’s G63 had the soul of a legend, yet the interior no longer matched the presence of the latest models. The mission was to bring the cabin fully up to W464 standards while preserving everything that makes the G-Class special.
The Challenge
A full W463-to-W464 interior conversion is not a simple swap. The two generations differ in wiring, dimensions, and electronics. Every new component — from the dashboard to the seats — has to integrate with the original chassis as if it left the factory that way. The challenge was to fit modern parts, route new wiring, and program new electronics, all while keeping the result seamless, reliable, and unmistakably OEM.
The Solution: A Complete W464 Transformation
We carried out a full cabin transformation, replacing and upgrading every major interior element to W464 specification. Each part was installed with model-specific precision and integrated into the car’s original systems.
- Dashboard — full replacement with the modern W464 design
- Center console — upgraded to the latest layout and finish
- Steering wheel — new W464-style wheel
- Seats — complete reupholstery in premium quilted leather
- Door panels — replaced to match the new interior
- Front monitor — modern widescreen display
- Headliner — replaced, including a starlight roof
- Rear-seat monitors — added for rear passengers
- New-design keys — with push-start, smart entry, and remote start
Each element was installed with model-specific precision. The new dashboard, console, and steering wheel transformed the driving environment, while the seats and door panels were finished in premium quilted leather. Modern screens — front and rear — brought the cabin’s technology up to date, and a starlight headliner added a signature luxury touch. Finally, the original keys were replaced with new push-start smart keys featuring keyless entry and remote start. The result is a cabin that looks and feels exactly like a factory W464.

Before & After
The transformation speaks for itself. What began as a classic 2014 W463 cabin now looks and feels like the latest W464 — modern, luxurious, and seamless.

Inside the Process
A conversion of this scale takes precision and experience. Our team carefully removed the original interior, fitted each new W464 component, and integrated the wiring and electronics so everything worked flawlessly. The reupholstery was completed in-house with premium quilted leather, and the starlight headliner was installed by hand. Every step was carried out to OEM standards under the supervision of our interior lead, Zainab.

Why OEM-Level Matters
A conversion is only as good as its integration. Anyone can fit parts — but making them look and function like they came from the factory takes real expertise. At Weiss Auto Concept, we don’t cut corners: wiring is done properly, panels align perfectly, and every electronic feature works as intended. That’s the difference between a modified car and a truly transformed one.
